  • Paul Foster CBE

    Chief Executive Officer

    Paul brings world-class nuclear and industrial experience to the table.

    He spent 20 years at the Sellafield nuclear site, in senior roles including Chief Executive Officer, making unprecedented progress in one of the world’s largest and most complex nuclear projects while delivering tens of millions of pounds in community benefit projects.

    For seven years Paul served on the board of WANO (World Association of Nuclear Operators).

    More recently he was Managing Director of Devonport Royal Dockyard Ltd (part of Babcock International), the UK’s sole licensed site for the refit and refuel/defuel of nuclear-powered submarines.

    Paul has a deep understanding of complex operations and nuclear leadership. He’s an experienced ‘intelligent client’, with an extensive track record in ‘first of a kind’ programmes and a healthy reputation as a ‘positive disruptor’.

    In the 2020 New Year’s Honours List, Paul was awarded a CBE for services to business.

  • Andrew Carr

    Chief Legal Officer

    Andrew holds the professional qualifications and depth of expertise we need to safely interpret and apply the laws and regulations that govern the nuclear sector.

    There are few in the UK with greater knowledge and experience of the legal and commercial implications of novel nuclear projects.

    He was General Counsel at Sellafield for 17 years and Legal Counsel at British Nuclear Fuels before that, leading on an industry-wide range of complex, high-profile legal matters and commercial issues.

    Andrew is regularly called upon as an expert on nuclear legal issues, thanks to his specialist legal knowledge in complex operations such as high-hazard risk reduction and major projects.

    Delivering in-depth advice and risk analysis, Andrew brings his legal knowledge and conscience to our breadth of governance, such as strategy, compliance, business planning and licensing.

  • Chris Sheryn

    Chief Development Officer

    Chris is responsible for establishing the delivery organisation including strategic supply chain relationships.

    He has a background in supply chain and operational performance in complex infrastructure programmes. This includes 15 years in civil and defence nuclear sectors.

    Chris brings broad cross-sector experience to the innovative structures and operational approaches we need to successfully deliver outcomes for investors and communities.

  • Kenny McKay

    Corporate Finance

    Kenny brings three decades’ experience of ‘Big Four’ financial consulting for major programmes in infrastructure, defence and nuclear.

    His depth of financial expertise on issues such as debt, deals, litigation and tax underpins our innovative use of private sector investment in a sector that has historically relied heavily on taxpayer burden for its financing.

    Kenny represents the Interpath Advisory partnership with CNP, providing financial modelling and investment support to the project.

  • Sarah Purdham

    PMO Lead

    Sarah brings extensive major project experience from several high-profile projects with clients such as,Sellafield Ltd, Dounreay, UKAEA Fusion, TfL, and Olympic Delivery Authority.

    Sarah is Managing Director at Prima Uno, specialists in programme and project management, assurance, project controls, project delivery, and project controls training.

  • Lucy Powell

    Communications Lead

    Lucy leads on our communication strategy. She has more than 20 years’ experience as a communication consultant for major companies including: HMRC, Ministry of Defence, Transport for London, BT, Ericsson, easyJet, British Airways, American Express, Aviva, Vodafone, Nokia, Microsoft, and Sellafield.

  • Jon Seddon

    Chief Financial Officer

    Jon is accountable for our daily and strategic financial management.

    He previously held equivalent roles for the NDA (at Sellafield), the ONR, and United Utilities.

  • Specialist Panel

    Supporting the core team is a panel of industry experts who bring senior sector and domain expertise.

    Panel members have extensive backgrounds in major infrastructure projects in nuclear, defence, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and petrochemicals. 

    Between them they have executive experience across the industry, including first-hand knowledge of nuclear site licence acquisition and operation.
